Senior Peyton Smith of the Modern Music Ensemble prepares to perform. They performed at the Fine Arts Tailgate on Friday, Oct. 30.

On Friday, Oct. 30, the fine arts tailgate took place before the Gryphon football team took on USJ. The tailgate celebrated the fine artists of St. George’s, including performances from the band, modern music ensemble and choir.

October 30 was a big day for the St. George’s Gryphons as the game against USJ was to determine which playoff seed they would be.

The game was also senior night with a pink-out for the breast cancer awareness theme. The pink helmets worn by the football players were received well by the St. George’s community and the team.

The Gryphons won the game against USJ with 35-14, and the seniors were honored along with St. George’s arts at the tailgate.
