Mission & Ethics

The Lodge is dedicated to serving as an authentic voice for the students of St. George’s Independent School. We are committed to delivering accurate, impartial and compelling journalism that reflects the full breadth of voices and experiences within our school community. We strive to be an open forum for student expression, to act in the best interests of the student body and to embody the principles of journalistic excellence.

Student journalists at The Lodge abide by the National Scholastic Press Association’s Code of Ethics, guided by seven core principles:

• Be Honest.
• Be Accurate.
• Be Independent.
• Minimize Harm.
• Be Accountable.
