Hollywood’s biggest stars celebrate achievements in entertainment
The 74th annual Golden Globe awards were held on Sunday, Jan. 9th. Hosted by comedian Jimmy Fallon, the awards were held in Los Angeles and broadcasted on NBC.
The Golden Globes, which was first held in 1944, is an awards ceremony celebrating achievements in the world of television and film. The ceremony recognizes achievements in 25 different categories ranging from Best Director in a Motion Picture to Best Original Score in a Motion Picture.
Following the red carpet (for a best dressed list, see Vogue), Fallon, alongside other celebrity presenters, awarded some of Hollywood’s biggest names with these prestigious awards.
During the ceremony, Actress Meryl Streep was awarded the Cecil B. DeMille Award. Each year, the honor is awarded to one actor or actress that has impacted the entertainment industry with their work.
