On Thursday, Oct. 29, The Lady Gryphons departed for their state tournament in Murfreesboro, Tenn. They are currently seated second after their previous loss to University School of Jackson of 1-3 in the regional championship game. However, they are hoping for a chance at revenge in the state finals.

In the first round on Friday, the Lady Gryphons are scheduled to play Battle Ground Academy. If they win, they will play the winner of the USJ and Evangelical Christian School game for the championship.

Students and parents are both hopeful for their victory. The parents covered the team bus with encouraging messages for the players, and there will be a fan bus for students who wish to go to Murfreesboro and support the Lady Gryphons on Saturday.

If you are interested in attending the game via the fan bus, contact Executive Assistant to Athletics Ms. Sharon Lathum for more information at [email protected].
