Despite being a fresh face in the newsroom, Sydney Murray is no stranger to teamwork; outside of class, Sydney is a member of the Gryphon varsity soccer and tennis teams, as well as Model UN. As a new Lodge staffer, she is eager to share her opinions with the Gryphon student body. Among Sydney’s many creative outlets are painting, embroidery and building IKEA furniture, the latter of which sets her apart from a majority of humanity. (Side note: She’d find personal peace and joy building your IKEA furniture for a nominal fee). Although currently a junior, Sydney is already thinking beyond her time at St. George’s, during which she plans to attend college and graduate school in the vague not-Memphis of “up north.” Her life goals are to find a balance between promoting justice in the world and holding a job that will allow her to continue to support her admittedly expensive lifestyle.
