This year is Mr. Adcock’s fourth year as the adviser of The Lodge. Although the size of The Lodge staff is the smallest it has been since he took over as adviser, he is not worried. Instead, he is excited and sees it as an opportunity to foster new ideas and strengthen communication. Mr. Adcock has been working at St. George’s for eighteen years and, along with being The Lodge advisor, he also juggles advising the yearbook staff and teaching ninth grade honors English and Media Literacy and Design. He finds joy in teaching and in making The Lodge a space for students to put the spotlight on the stories they care about in their community. If he could be any type of food, he would be Thai food because he appreciates how a diversity of flavors can be made into something delicious and the skill needed to make it happen (“Plus, it’s spicy”—added by Mr. Adcock via the editorial process).
