You might know Marlon Yates from the sidelines of athletic events, strapped with a camera and taking photos of the action. Marlon’s interest in photography was his big draw to The Lodge and, while he is eager to diversify his photography portfolio during his time on staff, he is also excited to contribute his work to the larger community on campus. When Marlon has free time, he enjoys drawing, keeping his personal spaces tidy, cooking different cuisines and getting some extra rest. He is an avid motorsports fan and can sometimes be found at racing events in and around Memphis metro area. Looking toward the future, Marlon has his eye on several colleges, where he is interested in studying architecture. Doing so would merge his interests in drawing and organization with the inspiration he gets from his mom, an interior designer.
