General:

• Due to the effects of social distancing, new estimates place the Coronavirus peaking in late May to early June
• Hospitals in Shelby County are working at less than 50% their surge capacity
  • With only a third of the ventilators currently in use
  • Mayor Strickland has stated that he will be working diligently to reduce the burden placed on hospitals by continuing social distancing mandates
• An app on Apple and Android phones is currently in development which will trace your location and let you know if you had been in the vicinity of any people who have tested positive for COVID-19
  • Users will need to opt-in in order to use this app, as it tracks your location.
