Have you heard of Miriam Brown? If you exist in the St. George’s ecosystem, then of course you have. Miriam’s a star student with more than a lot on her plate. It’s no surprise that she is the leader of numerous clubs and organizations at St. George’s, nor is it a surprise that she is one of the editors-in-chief of the Lodge. After the hustle and bustle of her usually way-too-busy day, Miriam likes to go home and take a nap. Colorado is Miriam’s home away from home; she spends all of her summers there working at Noah’s Ark Kitchen, and she would likely stay there forever if she could. She likes watching movies, especially romcoms and musicals. With a hand in non-profit clubs like Make-a-Wish and Best Buddies, Miriam is ready to take charge and make the world a better place.

The St. George’s varsity football team beat Harding in the final seconds of the game thanks to a last-minute field goal on Oct. 24. The Gryphons went into the second half losing by one, but in the last seconds of the game, junior Graham Hawthorne, kicker for the Gryphons, scored a field goal and brought the score to 9-7, giving the Gryphons the victory against the Lions. After the game, the team hoisted Hawthorne onto their shoulders as the fans stormed the field.
